2009 / Sun / MySQL / Open Source
Has been here for a while and i’ve found that i couldn’t help my self not to type any information about IT and stuff.
It’s been 2 months that i don’t write that much anymore. I have developed some new application and some technology based on Open Source Technology. As u know that, if we speaking about the Open Source Database platform such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, It’s just so interesting to know that after a session with mysql acquistion by Sun Corp . It’s seems that MySQL has been growing so fast with many technology features that supported by Sun them selves.
A week a go, we visited Balicamp. We met some people from balicamp that doin a deep process for system and application. It’s a big big big Company. They are focusing inInformation System And Solution for it. They got so many client, some of them are well know Companies that runs in multiple bussines. So, i decided to talk to someone that stay in a room with many notebooks and computers. He told me that they are developing a system and it’s based on open source technologies. They were using MySQL for a large system database, even i know that i was telling my self, is it true that MySQL can do a lot of functions like that ? Why don’t they use Oracle or somethin like that ? And that guy was telling me that they have visited MySQL / Sun Central Office and they have gathered so many information about what MySQL it self can do, in terms that using MySQL colaborrating with Sun Technology .
In my opinion that, from a simple idea. Some people believe that they can provide a software that has many functionality, They started to launch MySQL for the first time and it becomes globalized . So many web technology using MySQL as their databases. With many improvement and some renew software releases, MySQL has become a leading Open Source Database until the acquisition process by Sun Corp.
So guys, besides i do not have any idea about the open source it self, it makes me realize that we still could count on some Open Source Technology combining with any license software. It’s depend on you tough. If you do know so much about Information System and Technology around it, you could decide what the best option you can run with.

I plan to get back here soon to publish some network technology based on Open Source just like Linux and stuff.
